What type of TV do people have?

Postby JustinS on Sun Jan 04, 2009 10:34 am

Given the Stocktake sales are on at the moment it's obviously been a great time to go out and purchase that new TV, so let's discuss what type you have and what's connected to it? XBox? Wii? PS3? BD Player? PC?

You can enter multiple answers if you have multiple TVs.

I've currently got 2 old CRT Sony's. Our main TV and a small one.

The main TV is the better part of 10 years old and I still love it. Have my HTPC and wii hooked up to it and it's barely skipped a beat since I bought it.

Currently running a 42" Samsung plasma - I useto have a PS3 connected to it, although I never played it so I got rid of it, I just use it as my computer/tv screen now.

Bought a Conia 50" Plasma off catchoftheday for about $1300.
It's 1080i and at that price it's been awesome. It's hooked up to my xbox360 and gets a good workout on the occasional lazy day (or if the cricket is on!).
The only problem is a dont have a decent sound system to hook it up to - must rectify that asap!

Our main TV is just a 68cm flat screen Sony. I currently have the Xbox 360 hooked up to it, and a PS2 on another TV. It has a pretty good picture, but we'll eventually upgrade to a Plasma considering how cheap they've become.

I have a an old Kriesler woodgrain TV in the garage, which will probably outlast our Sony . It's great to watch the footy, V8 supercars or Top Gear when doing 'garage' stuff :).

Regards,
Shannon

I can't afford a TV. I just stare out the window watching people and quoting Seinfeld snippets to myself. One day, my beauties, one day your time will come.

A 17" monitor running hybrid tuner cards (digital, analog, digital radio and FM) in the PC, still cannot get all the digital channels and I am not missing out on Dr Who just for a clearer picture!
